SECURITY LIGHT PIR EXPANDER / ADAPTOR
Ever wanted to add an additional light or signal to your mains security light?This simple ciruit shows you how to do just that, either add additional remote lighting or add a signal to sound an audible noise, this ciruit is highly adaptable and is so simple to build.
The schematics for both types of circuit are shown below, the mains expander is shown on the top and the volt-free contacts version is shown on the bottom to allow for remote buzzers etc. to be connected.
It can be seen that this circuit uses only 3 components, the transformer gives around 12v output whichis then rectified by the bridge rectifier to give a rough 12v dc to drive the relay.
